Our Primary Mission Assigment...Sariah Hosts!

The first three days of this week have been most enjoyable.

On Monday Evening, we held our Family Home Evening Opening Social at the Smith Pavilion (where we hosted last year). Nearly all the missionaries were there and we had a great meal of potato bar and a wonderful green salad with fresh strawberries in it and though something new, it was a great salad. For dessert we had Sundaes.
Yesterday we had a very spiritual day as we held meetings with our Leaders, both for the camp, the Priesthood leaders, and from the Young Women Committee for Heber Valley Camp.
I also took pictures of each couple, to be used in the camp directory, which is one of my assignments here. I have included our ugly mugs so you at least know how we looked yesterday.
Today was the first day of our physical training and to start of the day we received our "primary" assignment. In addition to this assignment we will be asked to work on other service and work projects as well as serve on the challenge courses. We have 52 couples and 3 single sisters, for a total of 107 missionaries for the 2009 season.
Our primary assignment is to serve as camp hosts, along with Elder and Sister Johnson from Mapleton, in Camp Sariah. We are excited about this because it is the camp where we are holding our reunion in 2010, (See last post.) as well as where the Eagle Mountain East Stake, with April as well, will be staying for their summer camp. So we get to host our granddaughter at her first summer camp.

We are looking forward to a busy and exciting Summer.
