On Tuesday, August 13, 2013 we attended the awarding of the Arrow of Light to 4 young men of our ward. It was very rewarding for us as one of those four was David's Devin. We are proud of his achievement.
For any who may not know, the Arrow of Light for the Cub Scouts is the equivalent of the Eagle for the Boy Scouts.

Part of the ceremony is to have the Father's paint colors on the face of the candidate (war paint?). Each color represents a virtue that the boy needs to continue to develop, and what he also has shown during his journey to Arrow of Light.
The virtues are: Wisdom, Courage, Self Control, Justice, Faith, Hope, and Love.

Just a side note on the Bridge. The picture doesn't show them but in the foot path of the bridge are inlaid all of the awards (trail) to be earned on the path to Eagle, including Cub awards Bobcat, Bear, Wolf, Webelos, Scout awards Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life, and Eagle. It is really beautifully made. Sorry the picture didn't show that part.
