A Spiritual Feast!

As I sit here looking out our trailer window at snow still covering the ground on May 1, I reflect back to Tuesday this week, when we went to Salt Lake for our special day of spiritual re-charging. We attended the Temple with all of the other missionaries here and then were treated to a very special meeting and luncheon in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.

Before we ate, we were able to be taught by Sister Ann Dibb, 2nd Couselor in the General Young Women Presidency. She introduced us to the 8th value that has been added to the program this year, Virtue. The color is gold and so we will have a new banner at camp this year as the girls arrive. You probably remember my pictures last year of the seven banners that line the entrance to the camp.

Following lunch we were pleased to hear from Elder Jose A. Teixeira of the 1st Quorum of Seventy. He gave a most inspirational talk about how our work here at Heber Valley Camp doesn't only affect those who come here to camp, but that it's influence is being felt throughout the world. He is from Brazil and spent much of his life in Germany. He is returning there as a member of the European Area Presidency. It was very uplifting to hear that our work here has such a wide ranging affect.

Lois is visiting at the Luncheon with our co host, Sister Johnson, who is from Provo.

Our first campers arrive on 15 May, with several Father's and Son's groups coming to our camp here in Sariah. We are looking forward to getting started with the camping season. The girls start on June 1. That is really the best part.
As we get around Camp Sariah, we can't help but think how it will be to have the family here next Summer. We are very excited about it.
